McKinney Peaks

McKinney Peaks was built in 2002 in a quiet West Shore location just 1/4 mile from the lake. This home is also just 1/4 mile from hiking and 1 1/2 miles to Homewood ski resort. This house was built as a family retreat in the "old Tahoe" style of 1917. The house is richly furnished in wood, stone, marble and tile. The great room is open with a high vaulted ceiling; log beams, and a carved mantel over a massive stone fireplace of rock hand gathered from the Truckee River. The gourmet kitchen is well equipped and has a commercial gas range and grill with twin ovens and a six-burner top. The counter tops are marble and there is a nice center island chopping block. There is a sauna, which is perfect for after skiing or swimming. The doors and cabinets throughout the house are hand carved with a Native American basketry motif. Bedroom #1 is a fully-equipped studio apartment which features a see-through fireplace which may be enjoyed from either the bed or the bathtub. The owners designed this house to accommodate three families comfortably, with ample privacy for adults and room for children.

Check in time is 4:00PM and check out time is 10:00AM, if there is an opening before or after your stay we can accommodate any requests for changing these times. If the house is booked directly after your stay the check out time is very important because we need the time to make the home beautiful for our new guests.
